Welcome to the Unity of the Spirit Ministry!

In the book of Ezra, when the LORD moved on the heart of King Cyrus to make a proclamation that would allow the Israelites to go back and rebuild the temple at Jerusalem, it says, "the people gathered themselves together as one man" to fulfill that decree. (Ezra 3:1)

Our purpose at Unity of the Spirit is to do just that: gather together as one, with one mind, one body, and on one accord to promote healing, deliverance, and unity in the African American community or any other community that is experiencing the same type of problems we are. 

Our aim is not to put down any other group or race of people or inspire hatred against any, but is, in fact, determined to build up a race through prayer and fasting. We are determined to dismantle the crutch of racism, which is so often used to comfort or nurse the curse of racism. This crutch and curse is a spiritual matter and must be handled as anything spiritual is. 

Our aim is to inspire transformation through Jesus Christ and the Word of God which will, as a result, help transcend the barriers of race. It is not to "get over" or overtake, but instead to overcome - overcome the inner and outward chains that bind. It is not to overpower any other group, but to empower ourselves through and with the power of God.

For the longest we have been encouraged to speak truth to power. Now it is time to uphold the truth in righteousness. When you look at the state of Black America, it is alarming. In most of the major institutions of America, we rank first in the worst and worst in the better rankings and categories. In most prisons, we make up the majority. In institutions of higher learning, we are ever evolving into a smaller minority.

This website is designed to help stop the decay and decline. As the Israelites banded together to rebuild the temple, so let us band together as one and rebuild our community into one that we can be proud of and one that can "stand before the Son of man." (Luke 21:36) II Chronicles 7:14, which happens to be the scripture to the left, says, "If my people...," not if my enemies, not if those people who keep doing me wrong and causing me problems, but "If my people, which are called by my name, would humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."

If the people of God will do these things, God promises to heal us and to heal our land.
